About us:
Automotive Casting Division-II (ACD-II) located at Butibori near Nagpur commenced commercial production in 2001. It has set up a High Pressure Moulding line (imported from Kunkel Wagner, Germany) for the manufacture of Automobile Castings with an installed capacity of 20,000 TPA.
The total investment in this unit is Rs. 620 million.
Plant facilities include:
1. High Pressure Moulding line (imported from Kunkel Wagner, Germany) for the manufacture of Automobile Castings with an installed capacity of 20,000 TPA.
2. The Core Making Systems include Continuous Mixers with Phenolic Two Parts system, Electrically and Gas Heated Machines for Shell Cores and Core Shooters with built-in Gas Generators for Cold Box Cores.
3. Mains Frequency Coreless Induction Furnaces with Total 6600 KW and Channel Induction Holders of 40 tones and 20 tones capacity with 300 KVA Power rating each installed for melting and holding the liquid metal.
4. Ductile Iron Holding Crucible with inert gas atmosphere and Press Pour system.
5. This High Pressure Moulding line of Kunkel Wagner is installed with a Flask size of 2900mm X 1300mm X 500/500mm.
The Foundry can produce casings weighing up to 1000 kg per pc. Both Grey Iron as well as Ductile Iron (SG Iron) castings is produced in this Division.
